THE DEEPNESS

Paige Michele Sargent is a vocalist and songwriter hailing from the beautiful high desert lands of Northern Nevada. Having discovered her inclination for music at a very young age, she has been sharing her voice for over 35 years. Under her musical moniker The Deepness, Paige is recognized for her powerful and soulful singing voice, potent lyrics, and ability to evoke deep and transformative emotion through her music.

Rooted in folk, soul, country, Americana, and rock and roll, Paige got her start in her formative years performing as a backing vocalist for Nick Waterhouse and the Tarots, playing venues across the U.S. and Europe, and gracing festivals like SXSW and Montreux Jazz. 

Having only performed covers of other people’s music in her younger days, her lived experience with drug and alcohol addiction through her late twenties eventually led her to a spiritual and creative awakening. Through this journey of healing and recovery, she rediscovered her voice and began writing and sharing her original music. Transmuting trauma into art, Paige continues to share her powerful message with the world: that healing is possible.

Committed to a path of ongoing expansion and awakening, she continues to tend to the themes of growth, personal & creative liberation, trauma healing, and health. Paige is constantly weaving together the threads of The Sacred with her offerings, whether through her songs, artistic creations, or writings. In 2024, she began sharing her musings through her Substack publication H E A R T S O N G, where she explores the rich complexities of life and what it means to be human. 

A perpetual and humble student of life’s mysteries, Paige is devoted to a path of truth and is fascinated by the exploration of Earth’s true history, mysticism, shamanism, the healing arts, ancestral remembrance, ancient practices of the indigenous people of the British Isles and Scandinavia, Lakota spiritual teachings, and Northern European mythology.
